How It Works

A clear process from registration to payment

Briana Payments provides transaction-based money-transfer and foreign exchange services for individuals and businesses. Our process is designed to give you clear information before you proceed, while allowing us to complete the verification, funding and compliance checks required for the relevant transaction.

S/01

1. CHOOSE HOW YOU ARE USING BRIANA

Personal or Business

When you register with Briana, you will be asked whether you are using our services as:

Personal

For eligible individual customers making personal payments or foreign exchange transactions.

Business

For eligible companies and other business customers making business payments or foreign exchange transactions.

The information and verification required will depend on your customer type, the service requested and the circumstances of the transaction.

S/02

2. REGISTER AND COMPLETE VERIFICATION

Help us understand who you are

Before we can provide services, we may need to verify your identity, business information, authority to act and other relevant details.

For Personal Customers

We may request information such as:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Residential address
  • Contact details
  • Government-issued identification
  • Information about the purpose of your payment
  • Source of funds information where appropriate

For Business Customers

We may also request information about:

  • Company registration
  • Business activities
  • Registered or operating address
  • Directors
  • Shareholders
  • Beneficial owners
  • Controllers
  • Authorised representatives or signatories
  • Ownership and control structure
  • Purpose and intended nature of the relationship
  • Expected transaction activity

Additional information may be requested where required by law, our risk-based controls, the nature of the transaction or the countries involved.

S/03

3. REQUEST YOUR TRANSACTION

Tell us what you need to do

Once the relevant onboarding and verification requirements have been completed, you can request an eligible payment or foreign exchange transaction.

Depending on the transaction, we may ask for information including:

  • The amount you want to send or exchange
  • Source currency
  • Destination currency
  • Recipient details
  • Payment destination
  • Purpose of payment
  • Funding information
  • Other transaction-specific information

The availability of a particular currency, destination, payment route or transaction is not guaranteed and may depend on the relevant circumstances.

S/04

4. REVIEW YOUR QUOTE

Know the key transaction details before you proceed

Before you submit your instruction, Briana will provide a transaction-specific quote for the proposed transaction. Depending on the transaction, your quote may show:

  • Source Amount
  • Customer Rate
  • Reference Market Rate, where applicable
  • Gross Converted Amount
  • Briana Fee
  • Known Third-Party Charges
  • Total Payable
  • Recipient Amount or expected Recipient Amount
  • Quote expiry
  • Relevant transaction conditions

Foreign exchange rates can change, so a quote is available only for the stated period and subject to any conditions shown with it.

A separate Briana fee applies only where it is expressly stated in the quote.

S/05

5. SUBMIT YOUR ORDER

Confirm when you are ready to proceed

If you are satisfied with the quote, you can affirmatively accept it and submit the related instruction.

This creates an Order for Briana to assess.

Submitting an Order does not by itself mean that Briana has accepted the transaction.

We may still need to confirm matters such as:

  • Verification
  • Receipt of funding
  • Recipient information
  • Payment-route availability
  • Compliance requirements
  • Transaction limits or conditions
  • Other information relevant to the transaction
S/06

6. TRANSACTION CONFIRMATION

Your transaction becomes binding when Briana accepts it.

A binding Transaction is formed only when Briana accepts your Order and issues a Transaction Confirmation.

The Transaction Confirmation will record the material terms of the accepted transaction, which may include:

  • Transaction reference
  • Currencies
  • Amount
  • Applicable exchange rate
  • Relevant charges
  • Other transaction-specific information

If we are unable to accept the Order on the quoted terms, we may ask you to review and accept a new quote or explain the available next steps.

S/07

7. FUND YOUR TRANSACTION

Send the required amount using the approved funding method

You must provide the Funding Amount using the method, source and timeframe specified for your transaction.

Depending on the circumstances, Briana may require funds to come from:

  • An account or source in your name; or
  • Another source approved for the relevant transaction

A transaction may be delayed or may not proceed if funds:

  • Are not received as cleared funds
  • Are received late
  • Do not match the Order
  • Are incomplete
  • Are reversed
  • Are subject to a recall or chargeback
  • Do not meet applicable funding or compliance requirements

Funds provided to Briana are for the relevant transaction and do not create a general-purpose deposit or stored-value account.

S/08

8. TRANSACTION REVIEW & PROCESSING

We process your transaction through the available payment route

Once the transaction is accepted and the required conditions are met, Briana will seek to process it in accordance with the Transaction Confirmation.

Depending on the transaction, processing may include:

  • Currency conversion
  • Submission of a payment instruction
  • Processing through a bank, payment provider, correspondent, intermediary or other payment participant
  • Making funds available through an eligible payment route

Transactions may also be subject to AML/CFT, sanctions, fraud, security and other relevant checks.

Where necessary, Briana may request further information or temporarily delay, restrict or decline a transaction while a matter is reviewed.

S/09

9. PAYMENT DELIVERY

Funds are sent through the applicable payment route

Once processed, funds move through the payment route applicable to the transaction.

The time required can depend on factors such as:

  • Currency
  • Destination country
  • Payment route
  • Banking cut-off times
  • Weekends and public holidays
  • Correspondent or intermediary institutions
  • Receiving institutions
  • Compliance reviews
  • Recipient information
  • Events outside Briana's reasonable control

Any delivery time shown is an estimate unless Briana expressly agrees otherwise.

We therefore recommend allowing sufficient time for important or time-sensitive payments.

S/10

BEFORE YOU SEND

Check your payment details carefully

You are responsible for checking the information you provide before submitting your Order. In particular, carefully review:

  • Recipient name
  • Account number or payment identifier
  • Currency
  • Payment amount
  • Payment reference
  • Destination
  • Purpose of payment

Be especially cautious if payment instructions have changed unexpectedly.

If a recipient provides new bank details by email, message or telephone, independently verify the change using a trusted contact method before making the payment.

S/11

CANCELLATIONS & RECALLS

Contact us promptly if something is wrong

If you want to cancel a transaction, believe that an instruction is incorrect, or suspect fraud or unauthorised activity, contact us promptly.

A payment may no longer be cancellable once it has entered the relevant payment system or has been executed.

Where available, Briana may attempt a recall or recovery through the relevant payment route.

A recall is not guaranteed and may depend on:

  • The stage of the transaction
  • The receiving institution
  • The recipient
  • Applicable payment-system rules
  • Legal restrictions
  • Timing
  • Third-party processes

Charges may also apply where disclosed or imposed by third parties.

S/12

IF A TRANSACTION CANNOT PROCEED

We will explain the available next steps where we can

A transaction may be delayed, declined, rejected, returned or unable to proceed because of factors such as:

  • Incorrect recipient information
  • Verification requirements
  • Funding issues
  • Payment-route restrictions
  • AML/CFT requirements
  • Sanctions considerations
  • Fraud or security concerns
  • Third-party payment-provider requirements
  • Legal restrictions

Where funds are returned to Briana, we will handle any return or refund in accordance with the applicable law, transaction terms and circumstances.

The amount returned may differ from the original amount where currency conversion, exchange-rate movements or third-party charges are involved.
